Human Trafficking in our Community

Under the guidance of Survivor Experts, ImPACT Virginia seeks to interrupt and prevent human trafficking by raising public awareness about this hidden form of abuse and growing public health concern. Through small and large scale trainings, they hope to inspire people from all disciplines to take an active role in Virginia's effort to stop the exploitation that is happening in communities across our state.

Today Jess Ellett chats with Lauren  Hanley and Sarah Beaverson, two VCU medical school students who have been involved with ImPACT Virginia while at VCU. This conversation is eye opening and something that all of our community needs to be aware of. 

Lauren and Sarah are both about to graduate and shift into residency programs and we thank them for helping our community so profoundly while in Richmond, Virginia.
